Matt, how’s the daily or just cruising drivability of your Spyder… with the turbo setup?
drivability is amazing. My tuner took extra time in that area to make sure it was right. The only issue I have is if it’s a real hot day and it sits for a 5 to10 minutes after shutting it off, say I run an errand, come back out and it take a little extra cranking to start from tue heat soak. However, once underway it’s great. People confuse it for a 1 liter bike at times the way it fuels and sounds. I have a 10lb flywheel so it revs quick and responds immediately. I love It!

I have the same turbokit, has worked well over here in Australia despite 40C summer days. I reccomend making some heatshielding for the headers and turbo even if they are ceramic coated. Glad to hear yours is keeping that permagrin alive haha
Yeah I was thinking of doing that as well. In the future I might also find a way to mount an additional inner cooler as another fail safe incase there is an issue with the water/meth system

Lol! I haven’t added any fans to the engine bay other than the one for the oil cooler. I think the only real issue regarding heat soak is pretty unavoidable and really only occurs when I park the car for a short time, like any engine would I suppose. Removing the rain tray under the deck lid slots helps a lot when it’s sitting. I’ve got a set of side scoops I’m installing in a week or so to help get more air in as well. In the end and after driving it now for a month or so I’m really not worried about it any longer as coolant temps have never been out of range and the only time the rad fan comes on is in heavy traffic

I have the same "issue". Cold starts the car starts right up, however on a hot or warm start it takes an extra second or two to turn over. My research indicated it was a known issue with the AEM FIC6. It hasn't caused any issue so I just forgot about it haha

You can remote mount the LED on the water meth kit to give you an indication. I also installed a solenoid to ensure the contents of the water meth tank can't get syphoned into the engine if parked on a slope haha

Here are some of the pics of the heatshielding I built. I also ended up putting the black stock heatshield on the back. Figured that'd save my rear bumper if there's an exhaust leak haha

yup same with the Power FC I’m running. Yesterday I got off the freeway to get gas and upon restart it took several seconds to finally kick over, it was pretty hot outside and I kinda ripped up the off ramp to the station so it was plenty hot.

Looks good man. I have my little green LED mounted right about the steering wheel on the cluster cover so I can see it pretty well, though not so much when it’s bright outside but at night it’s great. Yeah a AEM solenoid is next. I wish they included it in the kit instead of nickel and diming you for it though
